Go Stand At Circle With A Microphone And Shout If You Want To Insult - Yaw Boateng Gyan

Media Houses in the country have been urged to blacklist insulting personalities from using their medium. The National Organizer of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Yaw Boateng Gyan, who made this call in an interview with The Publisher newspaper, blamed the media for the emergence of insults in the country, saying you people know the insulting people, but you still call them to speak on issues. How would they insult if you dont call them to your programmeTell them, if they want to insult, they should go and stand at (Nkrumah) Circle with microphone and start shouting, but not on your platformIm fed up with all these insults, its bad and degrading our country. Condemning the attitude of Deputy Minister of Interior, Mr. Kobby Acheampong on Metro TV on Wednesday, Mr. Boateng Gyan also revealed the kind of sarcastic language usually used by personalities like NPPs Ursula Owusu and Francis Assiam on the radio. What we think is insult is when people say foolish or stupid, but I can tell you that when someone says we have a useless government, that is also insulting, he explained. The NDC National Organizer gave an instance of how a day after Mr. Acheampongs incident, the NPPs parliamentary candidate for Ablekuma South, Mrs. Ursula Owusu, on Peace FM, described the Mills government as aban fon which literally means, a good for nothing government. I would be the last person to justify what Mr. Kobby Acheampong did on Metro TV, he said, but let those people calling for his head, also call the likes of Ursula Owusu and Assiam to orderthey should all be blacklisted by the media.
