Zenith Bank Gives Meaning To Customer Day

This month�s Zenith Bank Ghana customers� day coincided with customer service week celebrated worldwide. Customer service week is an international event celebrated annually during the first full week in October and devoted to recognising the importance of customer service and honouring customers. Zenith Bank, in its quest to differentiate itself in the banking industry through its service quality, drive for a unique customer experience and the diverse calibre of its client base, celebrates Customer Day every month. �The official theme worldwide is Refresh, Recharge and Reconnect. Zenith Bank, which just celebrated its sixth anniversary, has recorded impressive results over the past years. Total assets of the bank grew from GH�389million in 2008 to GH�557million in 2009, while deposits increased from GH�340million in 2008 to GH�469million in 2009. Profit after tax stood at GH�13million in 2009. Building on the gains made in 2008 and 2009, the bank, 2010 financial year, recorded a profit after tax of GH�11million. Customer deposit also increased to GH�552million, and total assets stood at GH�654million. The impressive success chalked up by the bank has not gone unnoticed. In 2006, it was adjudged the �Runner-up, Corporate Banking� and �Runner-Up, Customer Service� during the Ghana Banking Awards held that year. It maintained its status as the �Runner-Up, Customer Service� in 2007. The following year, 2008, saw the bank sweep five awards. It was adjudged the �Bank of the Year�, Best Bank Financial Performance,� and the �1st Runner-Up Short-Term Loan Financing�. It also won the �1st Runner-Up Growing Bank� and �2nd Runner-Up Retail banking� in the same year.
