NPP Chairman Is Self-centeredWants Power To Loot State Property - Quashigah

We all know Jake Obetsebi Lamptey from time in memorial, that he believes in violence and bloodshedPeople like Jake are self-centered and dont care about any other person apart from themselves, claims Richard Quashigah, National Propaganda Secretary of the NDC. His claim is premised on recent comments by the NPP National Chair on the impending 2012 elections vis--vis the decision by the Electoral Commission to resort to the use of the Biometric register without a verification process. The National Chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Jake Obetsebi Lamptey, in an interview on an Accra-based radio station, Oman FM, cautioned that Ghana is equally prone to post election violence if the lessons from other African countries were not learnt. The NPP stalwart is reported to have said that the violence that erupted in Ivory Coast was championed by the dominant Akan speaking people, who were fighting for their convictions, and what happened in the French-speaking country could happen in Ghana since the Akans in here, who are in the majority are likely to adopt the same strategies if they feel dissatisfied with the upcoming polls. The majority of the people in Ivory Coast are Akans. The large parts of the ethnics in Ghana are Akans. The other tribes and things- you know the colonial [masters] did a line so this side of the line is Ghana; that side of the line is Cote dIvoire. And the line goes through a number of villages. So it means the people on this side are actually the same as the people on that side. If they can have violence in Cote dIvoire where does it say we cant have violence in Ghana? Where does it say that the people of Ghana are such dummies that they are going to allow themselves to be cheated of their birthright whereas the people in Cote dIvoire say they wont allow themselves to be cheatedWe have to assume that the same thing, the same reaction can come from the same people, he noted. But speaking in an interview on AsempaFM, the National Propaganda Secretary of the NDC described the NPP Chairs comments as an affirmation of Nana Akufo-Addos ethnocentric all-die-be-die mantra. To him, the NPP are a frustrated bunch bent on simply trying to manipulate the electoral results like they did in 2008. He accused the NPP National Chairman of consistently churning out statements that have the potential of creating chaos in the country and having the same mindset as their forebears who planted a bomb in a bouquet and gave it to a child to be given to Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. Jake Obetsebi does not care about any Ghanaian, except for the NPP to come back to power so he can steal state properties his trademark and stock-in-trade, he claimed. The NDC Propaganda Secretary expressed surprise that the NPP, who only a few years back heaped praises on the EC, is now accusing them of conspiring with the NDC and also inciting Akan youth in the country to take up arms and resort to violence. If Jake has a heart and blood running through his vein, he must be mindful of the kind of things he says because his agenda to create confusion will not succeedGod loves this nation and restored Atta Mills as President of this country so Ghana will not die nor become like Cote DIvoire or Liberiaelection 2012 will be held peacefully in a free and fair atmosphere and Ghana will prevail and the evil machination of Jake whose father was a bomb thrower will not come to pass, he predicted.
