Members of the Concerned NDC youth group in the Wa East constituency of the Upper West region have threatened to defect to the NPP if Hon. Aminu Salifu, the District Chief Executive is not sacked.
The DCE has been accused of witch-hunting NDC members suspected of being against his Parliamentary ambition. Mohammed J. Issah, Spokesperson for the Wa East Concerned NDC youth group alleged that the DCE�s action had created deep cracks within the party.
Mohammed J. Issah explained that the group�s major priority was to wrestle the Wa East Parliamentary seat from the NPP in 2012.
He however raised doubts if that goal could be achieved under the watch of Hon. Aminu Salifu as the DCE. Mohammed Issah added that the group will be ready to work with anybody who will emerge as the NDC�s Parliamentary candidate for the WA East constituency in 2012.
