The NPP�s Member of Parliament for Jaman South in the Brong Ahafo region, Yaw Maama Afful says the newly elected parliamentary candidate for the NDC for the Constituency Major (rtd) Boakye Gyan is no match for him.
According to Yaw Maama Afful, although he is unfazed by Major (rtd) Boakye Gyan�s election he still needs to prepare very well for the elections ahead.
Major (rtd) Boakye Gyan has been elected as the parliamentary candidate to represent the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Jaman South constituency for next year�s elections after a hotly contested elections on Saturday.
Speaking to Citi News Yaw Maama Afful congratulated Major Boakye Gyan but added that he is going to meet him boot for boot come 2012.�I will like to congratulate him on his victory, I know he is going for a competition but we are not going to take anything for granted we are coming out very strong now that we know he is our opponent�.
Hon. Maama Afful noted that his constituents attest to his brilliant performance as an MP for the area, and that achievement puts him in pole position to win the upcoming 2012 elections.
�It is going to be his records as the de-facto head of state in the 70s against my records as a Member of Parliament in the in the last three years.
