A deputy Minister of Information, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has officially announced that he will be running for the North Tongu parliamentary seat on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in 2012. After several months of speculations, Ablakwa has put to rest news making rounds that he was eyeing the seat leading to accusations that he has been seen sharing some laptops and building materials to locals to test the waters. He confirmed to citifmonline. com that he has finally made up his mind to contest the seat after a sober reflection, which followed on the heels of persuasion from his admirers. �After many months of numerous appeals and solidarity that I contest the North Tongu seat on the ticket of the great NDC,� Ablakwa stated. �I wish to for the first time announce here to my cherished facebook friends that after serious consideration and consultations, and on a day that nominations have been opened that I will answer the call to duty. � �I therefore officially declare my interest to contest the North Tongu Parliamentary primaries.
