A freelance journalist, Maxwell Mashoud is one of the journalists who saw Samuel Abanes lifeless body at the Tamale Teaching Hospital this afternoon. He said It was sad moment for all the media persons who were at the hospital. The medical persons, who were on the ground, according to Mashood, were working feverishly on most of the wounded but unfortunately their colleague, Samuel Abane could not make it. We saw the severity of the injuries that he had sustained, you could see blood oozing form his mouth and nose as well. He described Samuel Abane previously worked with The Chronicle newspaper before he joined The Enquirer. Apart from his involvement in the infamous Baba Jamal recorded tape, his colleagues described him as a friendly and kind person.
