"Nobody Can Control Samia"

A senior member of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP), Professor Agyeman Badu Akosa, has vehemently rubbished allegations that persons close to the partys chairperson, Samia Nkrumah are those pushing her to be vitriolic against presidential hopeful, Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom. Prof. Akosa told Citi News that comments by Sekou Nkrumah that his sisters political immaturity is being exploited by anti-Nduom elements for selfish political purposes are nonsensical. In his remarks, the professor said, we have elected a national chair and people think she is a softie and she can be pushed around? When I heard what Sekou said, the only comment that I want to say is that if he is a politician, he should address what he can do himself. Every time he opens his mouth, it is an attack on his sister. His politics is not his sister and he should leave her alone, Prof. Akosa added. He said although Samia had come under harsh criticisms and insults, she possessed the strength and willpower to rise above it. How she spoke at the conference, shows that Samia is made of sterner stuff and as far as I am concerned, we have got a chairperson of that we should all respect, he declared. Prof. Akosa added that the CPP will not allow selfish interest and parochial minds to rule within the party.
