NDC To Beg For Banished Okudzeto Ablakwa

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) executives in the North Tongu Constituency are to meet with the chiefs and people of Tongu in the Volta region to reconsider their threat to prevent a Deputy Information Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, from campaigning in the constituency. Ablakwa, who is aspiring to be the NDC parliamentary candidate for the constituency, was warned by the Dorfor, Volo, Torgorme, Fobzoku and Juapong communities to stay away from their lands or he would be dealt with seriously. Speaking to Citi News, the NDC Deputy Youth Organiser of the North Tongu Constituency, Wisdom Abotsie Kwabla, said they are amazed at the decision of the chiefs. He said: We have heard it individually, but I dont know if the constituency chairman has been served officially but whatever it is we would get into a meeting and we would take a decision collectively. Chiefs are not into politics; they advice us anyway, we get to them, we ask permission that we want to do politics on their land, they advise us but they are not into politics. Whether to call the chiefs or to tell Honourable Ablakwa not to come here would be decided at the constituency executives meeting, Kwabla added.
