Bawumia's 'Brother' Endorses Dery To Partner Nana Addo

An elder of the main opposition NPP, Bugri Naabu, is suggesting that the partys flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo chooses the Deputy Minority Leader Ambrose Dery as his running mate for the 2012 general elections. Mr. Naabu, who is one of the founding fathers of the party in the Northern region told Citi News Nana Addo and the NPP will be consigning the party to many more years in opposition if Dr. Mahmoud Bawumia is chosen to partner the flagbearer again for 2012. He said, God has already ordained a vice presidential candidate for us, why are we dancing about. Ambrose Dery, whom you all know is more than anything, if we want our party to win power we should look for Ambrose Dery. Naabu added: The man is deputy Minority Leader in Parliament that means he is already known to be our leader; that is number one. The whole Parliament of the opposition, that is our dear party supporting him we should not even think of looking for anybody than Ambrose Dery. Bawumia is my younger brother, the father was my uncle. My father was his fathers campaign manager that is Mumuni Bawumia himself when he was in politics, Naabu explained. I would not talk against my younger brother, but I am saying that if we want to win votes, looking at Upper West, Upper East, they go together and they are all together.
