Sekou - NDC Attempted To Bribe Me...

Son of Ghanas first President, Dr. Sekou Nkrumah who recently resigned from the National Democratic Congress has revealed that a leading member of the party tried to bribe him with cash and a car. According to him, he out-rightly rejected the bribe and warned the party to stay away from him. Speaking on Asempa FM on Tuesday, Sekou Nkrumah narrated that the General Secretary of the Peoples' National Convention (PNC), Bernard Mornah confronted him with the intentions of the ex-NDC MP. Host of the show, Bobie Ansah challenged Sekou Nkrumah that his claims could not be true but the former boss of the National Youth Authority replied I dont make up stories. The avowed Mills critic stated that he refused to accept the bribe from the ex-MP because he did not want to accept anything from anybody close to President Mills or the party he had resigned from. He added that he had strong convictions that the money and car were not mere gifts but a move to trap him in order to destroy the reputation of the flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party, Nana Akufo Addo. Dr. Sekou Nkrumah warned members of the NDC to back off since he had decided to support Nana Addo for a change. The NDC should stay away from Sekou; I'm just supporting Nana Akufo-Addo for a change. But a panel on the show and NDC member, Alhaji Bature opposed the claims of Nkrumah, stating that the supposed MP was just a philanthropist who wanted to help him.
