Juapong NDC Youth Declare Support For Ablakwa

Some youth of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Juapong have declared support for a Deputy Information Minister, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, in defiance to threats by their chief to bar him from campaigning in the town. The chief of Juapong issued the threat last week over claims that Mr. Ablakwa prevented the naming of the town as capital for the newly created district. The junior minister, who is seeking the NDCs ticket for the North Tongu constituency, has since appealed to the chiefs to agree to dialogue over the issue. Speaking to Citi News, the NDC organiser at the Adeyime Branch number 1, Zakari Sidi said Mr. Ablakwa has denied the allegations and must be allowed to bring about change in the constituency. We the youth and the people in the town like Ablakwa and we would like him to come and campaign and contest in our area, he said. He should come down and see the chiefs and explain to them. When they understand it, ok.
