The general public is hereby reminded that 25th and 26th December, 2011 and 1st January, 2012 are Statutory Public Holidays and should be observed as such throughout the country.
Minister for the Interior, Hon (Dr) Benjamin Kunbour, issued a statement on Tuesday to that effect.
According to the statement, "in view of the fact that 25th December, 2011 as well as 1st January, 2012 fall on two Sundays, His Excellency the President has by Executive Instrument declared Tuesday, 27th December, 2011 and Monday, 2nd January, 2012 as Public Holidays and they should be observed as such throughout the country".
