Atta Mills Must Stand Up And Fight Kofi Wayo

Founder and Leader of the United Renaissance Party (URP), Charles Kofi Wayo, has challenged President John Evans Atta Mills to demonstrate to Ghanaians that he is committed to fighting corruption and crime in the country. Atta Mills must stand up and prove himself in the wake of recent events or reports which are saying otherwise of his Better Ghana Agenda, he added. Speaking on the Big Bite Morning Show on Xfm 95.1, Mr Wayo said that Ghana has become a lawless country since some parliamentarians are even using diplomatic passports to cover their dirty work and nobody is arrested even after investigations. Therefore there is no right and there is no wrong. According to him, Ghana is classified as a lawless country by the United States due to the inadequate logistics the various law enforcement agencies are encountering as at now, which he said, has resulted in an unfriendly atmosphere for investors to come in. He questioned the outcome of the committees report on the (77) missing parcels of cocaine in 2007 asking further, who were involved and how many people have been arrested so far?, adding, it has now become a triangle between the policemen, businessmen and the government The maverick politician suggested that the war on drugs can only be won if governments make sure the law enforcement agencies and institutions are well equipped with the necessary logistics to make sure the Law prevails no matter who and where the person is. He therefore tasked President John Mills to tackle the drug menace head-on.
