Confusion Over Billionaire Robbers Funeral

Cursed armed robber George Korsi Buame Kleh, whose death has given the Ghana Police a lot of relief, has brought also a lot of confusion into his fathers large family made up of children from three women. Close family sources told The Herald that some members of the Kleh family feel utterly scandalized by the shameful end of their notorious armed robber brother, whose disgraceful activities span over 30 years, and therefore, would not want to have anything to do with his burial and final funeral rites. But another section of the family who is said benefitted from the nefarious activities would want to have George given a befitting burial with all the respect accorded a beloved deceased relative. This faction would want George laid instate on December 31, alongside with his highly respected half-brother Francis Kleh, who died from kidney complications five days after George was gunned down. The posturing of Georges paternal family is said to have furiously angered Francis maternal side who would not have their respected son and transport owner laid next to a common criminal. The two never saw eye-to-eye when they were alive. The Herald has also learnt that the Ho GPRTU has petitioned against burying Francis, whom they hailed as a godfather, on the December 31, but the paternal family is adamant. George Kleh, 54, who hails from Ho-Bankoe in the Volta Region, was gunned down together with a colleague armed robber, Doku, in Accra, last month near the Nyaho Clinic at the Airport Residential Area, during a shootout with a police patrol team. The Herald which has run series of stories on the armed robbers life and family story, has however, been informed that the two half-brothers were the bitterest of enemies as Francis was against activities of George, who has lots of properties across the country. The Herald has also been informed that Francis Kleh, could not have gone to the mortuary to have his half brothers corpse released from the Police Hospital at the cost of GH1,000.00 for burial in Ho. Francis Kleh is said to be a very decent man, who was uncomfortable with his younger brothers unsavory escapades, and had tried to straighten him up to no avail, and therefore had distance himself from him (George) and all his activities benevolent and otherwise. The relationship between Francis and George is said to be such that anytime the latter had a brush with the police, it was believed that Francis had tipped the police of his brothers activities, hence his arrest. Family members always went for the neck of Francis anytime the police arrested George, accusing him of grassing on his half brother, said a family source. Francis was said to be hospitalized at the time of Georges death, and he himself died shortly after. Let me tell you, if Francis had been alive, I can assure you, he would never have attended Georges funeral or have anything to do with his burial, the source asserted. Francis who was a transport owner before his death was very dearly loved by members of the Ho Transport Union. With Francis death, my brother, we have lost an honest big brother, uncle and father, who had been one of the pillars of the Union, a union member told The Herald. The Herald has gathered that Francis burial is slated for December 31, 2011 by his paternal family. But his maternal family is not in agreement with the date, hence confusion has crept into the burial programme. His wife, a retired nurse, who is yet to recover from the blow dealt her by Francis death is said to be ready to bury her husband with or without the participation of his (Francis) paternal family. She would not allow her decent beloved husband to be used to deodorize a dirty common criminal. Meanwhile, there are stunning revelations of complicity of some policemen in Georges nefarious activities.
