Ghanaians Have Confidence In NDC

Ghanaians have now believed in the commitment and truthfulness of the NDC government in ensuring that every part of the country is developed for the enjoyment of the people, the Upper Manya Krobo District Chief Executive, Mr. Joseph Tetteh Amgor has said. He noted that the leadership of the President, Prof.J.E.A.Mills has also won the admiration of the people of Ghana, a renewed hope and expectation of greater things to come under the NDC to the people of Upper Manya Krobo. Mr.Amgor said this when he gave his last sectional address for the year 2011 at the Manya Krobo District Assembly at Asesewa on Friday. He enumerated a number of projects so far executed in the district since the NDC came to power and said many were those who lost hope of ever seeing any developmental projects in a district like Upper Manya Krobo which had been tagged 'deprived' in Ghana. The DCE therefore urged the assembly members to comport themselves very well, initiate good programmes in their electoral areas and interact with the the people to sustain their hope. Let us constantly interact with our people so that they can genuinely identify with us. When we do this, mobilizing them for communal activities will elicit quick and eager response from them, he pleaded. Mr. Angmor announced to the assembly that the Asesewa Akateng Road, which was awarded on contract by the government, would soon be completed to enable the farmers have easy access to and from the villages and towns. He assured the assembly members and the people in the area that all on -going projects in the district would be completed and handed over for use before the first quarter of 2012. The DCE said it would enable the assembly to adequately initiate more projects and also embark on others that would come from the central government into the district in the years ahead. Mr.Amgor urged the assembly members to always send the right information about the job of the assembly to the electorate but not to misinform them with political coloration that only served to confuse and make them become bitter with the government. He said the task ahead of the assembly to ensure that the people did not remain in poverty was very challenging but with the co-operation and unity they (the assembly members) had exhibited since he was made the DCE , he was sure they would overcome to enable the district become an example to Ghanaians.
