MFRAMA Robs Peter to Pay Paul

Ghanaian hiplife duo Mframa has released another smash hit. Mframas latest single, Rob Peter to Pay Paul, features KORA award winners, Praye. The track is the official hustlers anthem for 2011 and beyond and talks about the economic state of Ghana and how it is pushing lots of people to do the unthinkable just for survival. The rhythm, the vocals and the rap make it easier for the listener to get the message of the song easily, even though they are talking about issues that create serious arguments on political circles. The song talks about Sakawa, infidelity and general social vices that arise out of financial hardships. The groups musical journey started in 2006/2007 when it released the smash hit Feeli Gadoochi which had massive rotation on radio and TV. It continued the journey with the release of a second album titled Uneasy, with double hit tracks like Disco and Uneasy. Mframa immediately followed it up with another super hit titled Ghana Lady when it featured on the Appietus Compilation and that was the lead song on the compilation. A member of the group, Dada Hafco, later collaborated with Reggy Zippy, under the stewardship of One Pesewa, to release Imaginations 1 and 2. In his imaginations, Tinny was his shoe shine boy for the party, KOD and KKD were ushers at his party, Agya Koo his garden boy for the party and so many more. Mframa showed its lyrical dexterity when it collaborated with APlus to release Konkonsa Radio Part 1 and 2- a song about society and politics. It later came out with the biggest movie soundtrack in Ghana Agya Koo Gbengbentus. The movie soundtrack has been nominated for the Best Movie Soundtrack at the 2011 Ghana Movie Awards to be held on 25th December.
