Sad Nduom Is Gone But...

The running mate of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) in the 2008 elections, Dr. Abu Sakara Foster, has expressed regrets about the decision by his former boss, Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom to resign from the party. Although Dr. Sakara will not join the 2008 flagbearer of the party in his quest to build a new political party, he said Nduoms decision is not the best for the CPP. Its sad to see our good comrade go, Dr. Sakara told Citi News. But my point is that I did not join an individual; I join the party and the party is a democratic institution, people are free to come and go. The reason we are in a party is to help fulfill and achieve its call. So we remain dedicated to that call and well continue the fight. Dr. Nduom announced last week he intends forming a political movement which will metamorphose into a political party by February. His decision comes after months of disagreements between his camp and some of the partys national leadership. Dr. Sakara said despite having been dealt a blow by the former flagbearers decision; the CPP will fight to remain stronger. He stated: We exist for a call in the party and that call is paramount and those of us who remain behind must look for new ways of pursuing that call with the numbers that we have and the people who will also come in due course to ensure that we are able to deliver on that call.
