Nyaho-Tamakloe: Dont Coerce Nana Addo

A founding member of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe, has reiterated the need for the rank and file of the party to desist from stampeding the flagbearer into making premature decisions. According to him, party members have the free will to suggest a running mate but that should not lead to coercion. Anyone in the party can suggest but that should end there, Nyaho-Tamakloe told Citi News. The flagbearer should be given a free hand to pick his running mate and this he is going to do in consultation with the National Council of the party. We should all fallback and allow him to come out with his choice. If his choice is not good enough for the party we have the National Council and that is the highest decision making body of the party and definitely the National Council will have a discussion with him, he added. Although Dr. Tamakloe will not name persons coercing the flagbearer into a decision, he contended there are elements within the party who are bent on having their choice selected by the flagbearer. He cautioned members to be patient.
