The chief of Adukrom, Osuodumgya Otutu Kono III had earlier on called on all politicians to refrain from insults and mudslinging in their campaign and conduct issue-based campaign. Ghana is a peaceful country and we should not do anything to jeopardize the peace we are enjoying, he said. The Local Government Minister, Samuel Ofosu Ampofo assured that the NDC government will do everything possible to hold free and fair elections, stressing that the government will give all the logistical support to the Electoral Commission (EC) and ensure a level-playing field for the December 7 general elections.
