A member of the Communications Team of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has posited that there is no way flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo can be compared to President Mills in terms of humility and devoutness to God, stressing that the President "is a good Christian" who "serves God with a true heart�. Felix Kwakye-Ofosu contends that in a contest between which of the two presidential candidates is more pious, credible and humble, the NPP will be severely battered. He was commenting on a Wednesday, January 4th, 2012, publication by the Informer newspaper that the NPP flagbearer was reportedly engaged in dancing �Azonto� all night long on New Year�s eve whiles President Mills joined other Christians to pray for the nation, and the reaction by the NPP regarding the said publication. An NPP Deputy Communications Director Sammy Awuku, in a sharp rebuttal, denied the publication and stated that Akufo-Addo spent the 31st night with his family and other NPP officials at the Ridge Church in Accra. Describing the publication as pure mischief, Sammy Awuku said the NPP flagbearer has been a Christian all his life and not because of any predicament, adding that President Mills� decision to attend two church services on 31st night was �hypocrisy of the highest level�. ��going to many churches does not make one upright, but abiding by God�s decrees,� he added.
