A political maverick Charles Kofi Wayo has warned Ghanaians against voting the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) out of power come this year�s elections because that will spell doom for the country.
He said the presidential candidate of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo, is not morally fit to occupy the highest office of the land coupled with the fact that the NPP �was the wicked leadership Ghana ever had in the annals of the history of the country. �
Mr. Wayo told an Accra-based Radio Gold on Friday that although President Atta Mills and his administration have not done so well, it will be suicidal to kick them out and bring back the NPP that virtually �raped� the country during their eight-year rule.
�Atta Mills� administration might not be doing well and I believe they can do better; but Akufo-Addo is not an option. We cannot allow a person without morals to come and rule Ghana,� Wayo remarked.
�Ghanaians should realise that he [Akufo-Addo] is not an option. They [NPP] ruled for eight years and we saw it. They raped Ghana. Look at Kufuor�s hotel and nobody is asking a question and everyday he is going to receive an award,� he added.
Mr. Wayo said President Mills� mantra �father for all� is not doing him any good and it is about time he unleashed his anger on his �enemies� as they seek to destroy him ahead of the elections.
�I�m not going to defend Atta Mills, but I know he is a moral and ethical person. I will like to tell Ghanaians that if they believe in God and love Jesus as well as the Prophet Mohammed then they should know that Akufo-Addo is not an option. The so called father for all is not helping. He [Mills] needs to overwhelm his enemies and wipe them out,� Mr Wayo said.
He added: �Ghanaians have to understand what happened to them between 2001 and 2008. I�m not saying the Atta Mills government is doing fantastic but they are ethical people. �
