I Dont Give A Damn If I Wasnt Invited To The Castle - Editor

One of the notable Editors who was conspicuously absent at the recently held 3rd Edition of President Mills interaction with the media has bluntly stated he does not give a hoot that an invitation was not thrown his way to attend the programme. Managing Editor of the Gye Nyame Concorde newspaper, Alfred Ogbamey says he cares not that he was denied an invite to partake in the annual media interaction at the seat of government saying i wouldnt have attended anyway if I was invited. The Gye Nyame Concorde newspaper Editor was one of the notable editors who were conspicuously absent at this years Editors Forum dubbed: "Still Building A Better Ghana". However, it has turned out that Director of Communications at the Presidency chose not to invite him, a decision Mr Ogbamey says, does not come to him as a surprise. According to him, his newspaper carried a publication about the NDCs Communication team and the obvious bickering and power struggle between him (Anyidoho) and Mahama Ayariga (former Communications Director and now Dep. Education Minister) at the seat of government and which of the two needed to be moved to the Ministry of Information. That he said is the underlying basis for the bad blood between them. It is personal between me and Anyidoho. He told me hell not invite me and to be frank, I dont care; even if he had invited me I wouldnt have turned up. I did a publication about his scrimmage with Ayariga over who stays as the Communications Director at the presidency and since then hes been going on about me being part of a grand design and conniving with some NDC activists to get him out, but sincerely, I was doing my job as a journalist so if he chose not to invite me to the forum, I dont give a damn, I dont care, Alfred Ogbamey said. He further revealed that Mr Anyidoho slammed him and both the Managing Editors of the Ghanaian Observer, and Searchlight newspapers, Egbert Faibille and Ken Kuranchie (who were also not invited to the function) respectively, and accused them of having uncritical minds.
