Muntari Shelves Transfer Talks For 2012 Afcon

Midfielder Sulley Muntari insists he is as at now only focused on helping Ghana at the Africa Cup of Nations and not where he will be playing his club football. The 27-year-old is out of contract with Italian giants Inter Milan at the end of the current campaign and has been linked with moves to rival club AC Milan and English Premier League outfit Queens Park Rangers. Muntari however says he is not aware of such interests since he is only concentrating on helping the Black Stars end a 30-year wait for an African title in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea. The situation is that I am here in Rustenburg preparing for the African Cup with my national team. I dont know about those rumours. I am with the Black Stars preparing, he said. The former Udinese and Portsmouth player is expected to play an integral part for Ghana at the Nations Cup where the Black Stars will face Botswana, Mali and Guinea at the group stage.
