NDC Group Warns Gov't: Haul Kufuor, Akufo Addo...Before EOCO Or Else...

A pro-government group calling itself Concerned Members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has given the government up to Friday to arrest and compel officials of the Kufuor administration to appear before the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO). The group warns that if the deadline elapses without any action from government, they will mobilize all the progressive groups in the country to embark on a massive demonstration to drive home their message. At a press conference in Accra today, Spokesperson for the Concerned NDC Members, Hajia Sherifatu Sule, whiles urging the NPP to stop hiding behind the media and account for their stewardship to Ghanaians, including their role in how the state lost huge sums of money in Judgement debts, also called on flagbearer of the NPP, Nana Akufo Addo to immediately resign his position and submit himself to the EOCO investigations. Indeed Nana Addo, Kufour, Osafo Marfo, Kan Dapaah, and the entire government cabinet of 2005/2006 must account for why their recklessness and irresponsible decisions in government led to the loss of over a hundred million Ghana cedis as judgment debt, she said.
