It is not a laughable matter because the Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo, would have been in a hospital somewhere in the Volta Region receiving treatment by now. The presidential hopeful is said to have unknowingly walked straight into a very deep open trench and if it were not for the intention of his Director of Operations, Lord Commey, he would have injured himself severely. News-One gathered that last Wednesday night, during his tour of the Volta Region, Nana Addo nearly got buried in the trench but was saved by Lord Commey, who in an attempt to save the Presidential candidate of his party, rather fell into the trench and got seriously wounded. �The place was bushy and we did not see that there was a big gutter there and there were many people around him so he could not see ahead and stepped into the gutter with one foot but before he could fall into it, Lord Commey acted fast and started to pull him. Before we realized, Lord had rather fallen into the gutter and we had to help pull him out. He was severely injured,� an eyewitness told News One. On Thursday morning, Lord Commey told news one that he could not walk properly after the fall but did not explain how he found himself in the trench when the person he was saving rather remained unhurt. Nana Addo and his campaign team are currently on a listening tour of the Volta Region.
