Balotelli To Quit Manchester City?

MARIO BALOTELLI could quit Manchester City after his four-game ban for violent conduct. The striker was given the retrospective punishment for a stamp on Tottenham's Scott Parker in Sunday's 3-2 Premier League win. His agent Mino Raiola said: "The FA must defend Mario, otherwise he may think of leaving England. "Mario can't be banned for four games. It was not an intentional foul. "Mario doesn't want to hurt anyone, he didn't see Parker, that's all. "I'm worried because when English players are involved in more serious things, nothing happens. "Whereas when foreigners are involved, such as Balotelli or Kompany, they are treated harder. "If I find that there is something strange against Balotelli, my duty is to protect and take him away. "In this case, I'd speak with City, ask them his price and look for the best team for him, as there are only six or seven clubs he can play for. "I talked to Mario, he is happy to stay but he doesn't understand certain things, they sadden him." City will not appeal against the ban. But Raiola hit out at ref Howard Webb for claiming he did not see the clash, prompting the FA to look at it. He added: This referee must be banned for life as he didn't tell the truth. "The TV images show he is really close, how can he say he didn't see it? "It's only to defend himself. The ref was a coward. In the Premier League there are absurd rules." City assistant boss David Platt said: "Whichever way you look at the incident, it doesn't look good." Balotelli misses tonight's Carling Cup tie at Liverpool and league games with Everton, Fulham and Aston Villa.
