Okudzeto On Prayer Session: NPP Wants Us To Believe Theyre More Holy Than The Pope

Deputy Minister of Information, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has admonished the New Patriotic Party to depart from their all die be die and win-at-all-cost mantra if they have now accepted that God is the only one who appoints leaders. The Deputy Minister was commenting on the NPPs inter-denominational prayer session currently on-going in the Western Region. The NPPs non-denominational Prayer Service this Sunday at the Essipong Sports Stadium in Sekondi, is to commit the partys 2012 campaign, the nation and the December polls into the hands of God. Themed: Setting Forth With The Hand Of God, it is being attended by flagbearer of the party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Ex-President John Agyekum Kufuor, National Chairman, Jake Obetsebi Lamptey and his team of the National Executive members; the Campaign Manager, Mr. Boakye Agyarko, as well as the partys parliamentary candidates across the country. According to the NPP, it is the absolute conviction of the party that before they engage in any serious campaigning, they need to commit the presidential candidate, all the 230 parliamentary candidates, the campaign, the party and indeed the entire nation into the care and mercy of God for His Will to be done. Speaking to CitiFM in an interview, the Deputy Information Minister said though he sees no problem with a political party committing itself to the Lord in order to win an election, that of the NPP is surely for political expediency. They want us to believe that they are more holy than the Pope I do hope that as they do, they will remember that it is the Lord who chooses leaders and so it is incongruous to think about all die be die and we will win at all cost he said.
