NPP To Hold Muslim Prayer Session

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is preparing to hold a national Muslim prayer session for peaceful elections in December. This is to repeat the inter-denominational church service held over the weekend at the Essipong Stadium in the Western region. The event dubbed, Setting forth with the hand of God was organized by the NPP in collaboration with some churches in the Western region. NPP members including former President John Agyekum Kufuor and the partys presidential candidate Nana Akufo-Addo were in attendance. Ghanaians anticipated that Nana Addo would have used that opportunity to announce the name of his running mate widely speculated to be Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia. But he dogged Ghanaians in line with the mid-year deadline spelt out in the partys constitution. A deputy Communications Director of the NPP, Perry Okudzeto, said the event was successful and confirmed to Citi News the next one will be for the Muslim community.
