Mills Must Stop Politics Of Insults - Oboshie Sai Coffie

A former Information Minister under the Kufuor administration, Oboshie Sai Coffie, has joined calls on President John Evans Atta Mills to admonish NDC members, especially those holding political office, to stop the politics of insults as the country heads into the December elections. According to madam Coffie, the buck stops with President Mills adding that he must go beyond the rhetoric to ensure that members of the NDC put an immediate stop to the insults. The former Information Minister was speaking on the Citi Breakfast Show where she answered several questions about the main opposition party and its preparation towards the 2012 elections. She said: It is my hope that from now on, this campaign is going to be a peaceful campaign, that the name calling would stop and that we would focus on issues and selling the polices of each party. The President is the President of the nation, the buck stops with President Mills. He must call especially those who hold political office to order and not simply watch them to throw out insults and then announce that the insults should stop, he must make specific attempts to make his people stop the name calling. Immediately it would cease all round, she added.
