The Progressive People�s Party, (PPP) is voicing disappointment at the Electoral Commission�s decision delaying their full party status. The PPP which was formed last December has been operating with a provisional certificate. The party is expected to elect a flagbearer and national officers on February 15th. Kofi Asamoah the interim secretary of PPP told Citi News that the party is at a loss as to why the verification of the party has taken so long. �According to the political party�s act, the moment we submitted the application form, we were supposed to have been a given a provisional certificate within a week after which a public notice will be place pending registration and within thirty days, if anyone has an objection, he may do so but as at now we don�t know why the registration has delayed so much� he said. Mr. Asamoah added that "as it stands now, one Mr. Safo Kantanka at the EC is to give final approval on Friday in order to complete the registration".
