MIDA builds five classroom blocks in Kwahu South District

The Millennium Development Authority (MIDA) has handed over five classroom blocks worth over GH�400,000 to basic schools in five communities in the Kwahu South District. Each school block has classrooms, offices, a store, staff common room, Information and Communication Technology (ICT) centre, a library, dining hall, place of convenience and Water tanks to harvest rain. The beneficiary communities and schools included; Mpraeso Nana Ampadu Memorial Kindergarten school, Bepong Roman Catholic Primary School, Ntomem District Assembly Junior High School, Kwahu Praso Numbers One and Two Roman Catholic and Presby B kindergarten schools. Handing over the facilities to the District Assembly and the educational directorate in Afram Plains, MIDA Zonal and Agricultural Manager, Mr Samuel Arku-Kelly, urged the school authorities to ensure regular maintenance of the facilities for future generations to benefit. He said the MIDA would furnish all the classrooms, offices, libraries and the ICT centres with furniture. The Zonal Manager advised the beneficiary schools to put the facilities into effective use to improve upon teaching and learning in the schools. The Kwahu South District Coordinating Director, Mr Okoffo-Boadi Boampong, on behalf of the Assembly, advised the beneficiary schools, their Parent Teacher Associations (PTAs) and the communities to utilize the facilities to educate the children in their area to become responsible future leaders.
