Tears flowed freely from the eyes of residents and women who trooped to the Dome West CFC Flats in Accra to catch a glimpse of a woman who was allegedly killed by some unknown assassins and dumped there early Thursday morning. The deceased, aged about 26, was found naked, lying in a prostrate position along a street near the CFC flat buildings. Eyewitness account indicated that the deceased might have been killed and dragged to the area. The deceased was lying naked, with marks of assault all over her body. The deceased was only wearing white beads with a plaited Rasta hairstyle. Some liquid substances believed to be sperms were seen coming from her vagina and thighs. Some eyewitnesses were of the view that the deceased might have been raped and killed. When Daily Guide got to the scene around 9:30am yesterday, police personnel from the Mile 7 District police Command were at the scene to investigate the cause of death. Peter Yambilla, the District Police Commander, told Daily Guide at the scene that preliminary investigations indicated that she was killed and later dumped in the area as the body had started decomposing, an indication that she might have died days before she was dumped. Blood and water were already flowing from some orifices of the body. Police personnel from the Headquarters Crime Scene and Homicide Unit were at the scene to examine the body before picking it to the Police Hospital morgue for autopsy. The body is yet to be identified.
