A group of policemen on night patrol duties were ambushed during the wee hours of Saturday leaving one dead and three others left in critical health condition at Tuba near Kasoa in the Central region of Ghana. Snippets of information reaching Citifmonline. com have it that the law enforcement agents were waylaid in an operation at the new settlement area of Tuba between 12. 30 am and 1am. A source close to the patrol unit told Citifmonline. com that the team heard gunshots from the bush and in the process of taking cover one died and three others sustained severe injuries. Details about the crux of the operation are still sketchy. It is however unclear whether the assailants were land guards or armed robbers. The three policemen who were shot at are currently at the Kasoa Hospital receiving medical treatment.
