Five people, on Thursday afternoon, reportedly lost their lives in a fatal accident that occurred at Kuntunse near Nsawam on the Accra/Kumasi road. Speaking to PeaceFM moments after the tragic accident, an eyewitness said a Benz bus heading towards Kumasi from Accra skidded off the road and veered onto the opposite lane after one of its tyres got burst. According to him, the Benz bus then smashed into an on-coming car from the Kumasi direction of the road. Though the number of deaths could not be readily confirmed, five passengers are reported to have perished in the accident with many others said to have sustained varying degree of injuries. The injured have been rushed to the Nsawam Hospital for treatment. Meanwhile, the police are at the scene to manage the huge traffic that is building up on the road.
