America 'Shoots Down Britain's Plan On Africa'

AMERICA shot down Britain's plans for air strikes on Somali terror fighters last night.David Cameron signalled his support for attacks as part of an international effort against the fanatics. But US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Western air strikes would "not be a good idea". The PM was hosting a summit of 56 world leaders who pledged millions more to support the UN military mission in Mogadishu to fight terror group Al-Shabaab. Mr Cameron said: "There of course has to be military pressure on Al-Shabaab." Somalia's government issued a plea saying: "We would welcome targeted air strikes." The PM also unveiled a taskforce to hunt down Somali pirate bosses and snatch back their ransom millions.
