Rotary Club Of Labone Celebrates Rotary's 107th Birthday

ROTARY CLUB OF ACCRA LABONE CELEBRATES ROTARY�S 107TH BIRTHDAY WITH EYE & HEPATITIS SCREENING SERVICE PROJECT FOR DRIVERS AT ACHIMOTA TRANSPORT TERMINAL Rotary�s main objective is service � As community volunteers, we reach out to neighbors in need. The 1.2 million Rotarians who make up more than 34,000 Rotary clubs in nearly every country in the world share a dedication to the ideal of Service Above Self. We work locally and globally to save lives. Rotary clubs are open to people of all cultures and ethnicities and are not affiliated with any political or religious organizations. The President of Rotary Accra Labone, Charles A.T. Boakye, made this known at the commemoration of Rotary�s 107 anniversary and the tenth (10th) anniversary celebrations of Rotary club of Accra-Labone. According to him, the Rotary Clubs of Accra Labone and Gbagada South - Nigeria, undertook a Hepatitis B and Eye screening exercise to celebrate these two great occasions. The objective of the exercises was to educate drivers at the Achimota Transport Terminal on road safety; � Enable them know their Hepatitis B status � and vaccinate not less than fifty people; � Conduct eye tests and provide eyeglasses where necessary. � General medical screening.
