The Techiman police have arrested the Accra-based head pastor of Shiviringa Prayer Center, Pastor Nana Agyemang James for allegedly defiling eight children for spiritual purposes.
He was arrested at Brigade, a suburb of Techiman in the Brong Ahafo Region on the 4th of March and since been transferred to Accra for his retrial.
He was earlier arrested and released on bail for reasons of ill health but absconded.
The arrest was of the professed man of God was made with the assistance of ace journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas.
The Techiman Police Commander thus encouraged the general public to offer information, if any, on such criminal activities.
Pastor James has been on the police wanted list since March 2007.
