Airtels Touching Lives Starts On Sunday

The second season of Airtels corporate social responsibility initiative, Touching Lives , will start airing on selected TV stations across the country for 13 weeks from Sunday, March 11. At the media launch in Accra, Managing Director of Airtel, Philip Sowah, said the show aims to change the lives of people living in trying circumstances by offering them various forms of support. With Touching Lives, we create an opportunity for Ghanaians to nominate people they know who are going the extra mile to make a difference in the lives of others, be it families or communities. It is also part of our philanthropic endeavour and passionate commitment to contribute to the communities in which we operate, he said. Director of Human Resource and CSR of Airtel, Fafali Dzobo, explained that the hundreds of nominations received after the call to entry in November were screened by a cross-functional team of researchers and investigative journalists, with a further assessment of the situations of the nominees in the field. According to Ms. Dzobo, the second season of the programme will include an update on some of the season-one stories focusing on life after the show. The new stories in Touching Lives 2 cover themes such as selflessness, women empowerment, love and family among others. We do know that through these stories we will touch the lives of viewers, she added. Touching Lives will start showing on Sunday and subsequently on GTV (Friday, 8:30pm), Metro TV (Saturday, 6:30pm), TV Africa (Saturday, 6:30pm), GHOne (Sunday, 6:30pm), Adom TV on Multi TV (Sunday, 8pm with repeat on Wednesday, 8:30pm) and TV3 (Sunday 9pm with repeat of the previous episode at 3:30pm).
