The President and Chairman of Groupe Nduom, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, has asked his employees to remain calm and also be apprised with the facts surrounding the decision by the Bank of Ghana to takeover GN Savings.
In a video message to the staff, Dr Nduom called on them to remember that their foundation is rooted in 2 Timothy 1:7 which says ‘For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline’.
This, he says to his staff, ‘we will use this spirit and not be timid in the face of some untruths’, he said.
To him, the present predicament will quickly be overcome if all staff of Groupe Nduom are seized with the facts and are able to defend and explain the issues better to the good people of Ghana.
Citing the claim by the BoG that GN Savings transfered depositors' funds abroad without documentation, Dr Nduom said that was a palpable untruth and mischievous saying there is documentation on every money transferred out of Ghana.
He said all transfers made were for the procurement of vehicles, raw materials, equipment and other goods and services and paid for by the respective companies. He cited examples including: ‘The 4X4 car Kwame Asomaning drives, the computer Issah Adam (CEO of GN Savings) uses, all the raw materials FreshPak uses in their operations are all imported and paid for using the companies’ accounts and we have all the documents covering transactions’’, he said.
The Bank of Ghana on August 16, 2019, revoked the licenses of 23 savings and loans companies with GN Savings being the biggest of the affected companies with 300 footnotes across the country.
With a staff strength of over 2,000, the decision to shutdown GN Savings has been greeted with disapproval from some quarters with the argument that the government and the Bank of Ghana should have taken the workers plight into consideration.

He still can not criticize the government that is collapsing all his companies. I think this man is just a pure hypocrite. He would’ve been shouting on roof tops if it was another person in power today. Keep being a hypocrite and see all your sweat go down the drain.
The problem is not Nduom but the VP of his Groupe called NANA OFORI. That guy is destroying Nduom and very soon he blow the man apart. Nduom wake up because that guy is destroying your companies.
Paa kwesi Ndoum n Nam1 turned to preachers now. Christian council watch out for dis Crookes...dey want to establish churches to continuing their evil work.
Thinking about your workers not your customers who helped to build your asset. If your wealth is truly acquired genuinely God will protect you but if if through foul means you will lose everything and get back to your feet through confession prayers. You shattered our dreams. Why do you invest poor people money in in unapproved contracts in not greediness. Go to court and argue your case and stop seeking for people's sympathy. Our trust in you is gone and you to redeem it yourself.
I don't why Paa Kwesi is still talking. He committed crime against the state and depositors. He was very reckless with funds he mobilized through the GN Bank. May I humbly ask him this simple question, where was the bible when he took monies from the poor and used it to enrich himself? The appropriate security agencies should be swift with their investigations and press criminal charges against anybody found to have played part in the banking crises. As for Paa Kwesi, the least said about him the better.
Mr Uduom, you are a conman pure and simple. God punish you for using His holy name in vein. You think this is a public relations stunt. The lives of your staff and the innocent customers who resisted you with hard earned savings are at stake and you releasing this dubious information in the media instead of taking your case to the appropriate place. You have been running a Ponzi scheme for many years moving customer funds from one company to another. You yourself have not invested a penny of your own funds. $62m for raw materials for a bank? You think we are ***barred word***. That money went into buying that ***barred word*** bank in Detroit of all places. Which businessman in his thinking mind will buy a bankrupt bank in Detroit? The buildings you built in Adrigano are empty. You moved all the funds people invested in Goldcoast into your hotel’s. Now you have a university, car business etc all to raise money and move them. In any other country, you would have been in jail by now. You will reap what you sow.
Oh my God Paa Kwasi is now a Bible preacher? This is a man noted for his sabotaging attitude. J.A Kuffor worked out for him to get a parliamentary seat. Kuffor Honored him a key position in his government. For that position he made a claim for himself " Adumawura". 2009/2012 elections Ndoum turned his back and campaigned against Npp. God has exposed him. Using poor people's savings for opening companies and claiming to be "Adumawura" God has exposed you pls leave the Bible it is not preached by hypocrites.
