Ghanaians, especially those in Berekum, Dormaa Ahenkro, Nkoranza and other towns in the Brong Ahafo Region, whose relatives have travelled to Libya in search of greener pastures, are extremely worried about the safety of their relations in that country.
Gory pictures of dead Ghanaians and other Africans in that country are currently circulating.
Sadique, a Ghanaian in Tripoli, last Friday said some Ghanaians and other people of African descent had been arrested, beheaded, adding that hundreds were chained and transported to unknown places.
He said some Libyans were searching for black people in ghettoes to be tortured and killed.
He therefore pleaded with Ghanaians, who intend to travel to Libya for greener pastures to rescind their decisions, saying “they can use their monies to trade at home rather than risk their lives.
The heads were severed with cutlasses. Others were severely beaten. The situation is dire and I am speaking from my hideout. I ask Ghanaians back home who have not heard from their brothers, sisters in Libya to call them to see if they are still alive.
Since the news broke out about the development, some local radio stations, including Moonlight Fm in Sunyani have been playing the voices, thereby sending shivers down spines of relatives in the region.
Some callers to the radio station therefore pleaded with President Nana Addo to intervene in matter.

You think the tax payers money has nothing to do? How many times have we warned against undertaken such dangerous trips.
If I were to tell those Ghanaians to bring me $10,000 for Amerikan visa, they would have brought it. I am still trying to understand why some Ghanaians still travel to any of the muslim countries in North Africa and by extension, Arab countries. To do what? Those countries have no respect for human lives, all in the name of islam. They have weird understanding of islam, otherwise, why are their counterparts in the rest of Africa, like Ghana, are not as barbaric as they? I WOULD NOT EVEN MAKE A LAY OVER IN ANY OF THOSE COUNTRIES, LET ALONE FLYING THEIR AIRLINES. If you have bachelor's degree in those academic disciplines I have mentioned, just take GRE and TOEFL exams , get good scores, add to your academic transcript and apply for a school in Amerika. You will likely get funding as a Teaching, Research or Graduate Assistant. PLEASE TAKE AN ADVANTAGE OF THIS OPPORTUNITY and stop travelling to Libya. You can contact me for more info at [email protected]
Ghanaians abroad and in particular certain parts of the world have been warned to refrain from taking the 'high noon' risk of travelling to these Arab domains because most moslem counteries hate black people ; they consider them to to be INFERIOR ; go to Saudi Arabia ; Kuwait etc and see how Blacks are treated ; libya was good when Gaddfi was around but today most Libyans see blacks from the south as the cause of their problems ; Libya is not a safe country to go so WHY does some Ghanaians think Libya is a place to go ; even in europe wheremost Ghanaians wish to end up it is not easy ; employment situation is very difficult in the UK and getting your papers to settle is not easy ; go and see the number of people sleeping and living rough in the UK ; IT IS NOT EASY ; IT IS A HIGH RISK VENTURE AND BE PREPARED TO PAY WITH YOUR LIFE BECAUSE TO ME 'HOPE IS NOT A STRATEGY '
Do you have confidence in this president you have in Ghana? 1. When many ghanaians were killed and prisoneed in Gambia what did he (akuffo addo ) as the foreign minister do?--- nothing Now that he has been given the mantle to destroy what will he do again. 2.In the gambia today, many countries have evacuated their citizens to places of safety, has he done that rather to send troops to Gambia. What a shame 3.What will he do since he did nothing to save other ghanaians.
