Former Board Chairman of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT), Prof Joshua Alabi says the Operational Business Suite contract awarded by the Trust had a purpose to serve and as such he sees nothing wrong with it.
“I see nothing wrong with that particular contract… it was meant for something so nobody has said it was wrong”, he told GhanaWeb editor, Kwabena Kyenkyenhene Boateng.
Taking his turn on ’21 minutes with KKB’, Prof Alabi noted that the board only approved the budget for the contract which management had already submitted to the right place (Procurement Authority) for approval.
“…so what they repackaged and what was approved by the Procurement Authority, they brought the figure, they kept it in their budget and the board as usual we approve budgets. We’re not technically good enough to argue over what the procurement authority did”.
According to Prof Alabi, the board queried management of the Trust when they found out there was overspending in the acquisition of the infamous software.
“They overspent, and we queried them, and we told them that next time before you go beyond the budget make sure you seek the board’s approval”.

ALABI IS A MAN WITH BAD JUDGEMENT. HE CANNOT LEAD NDC.
You Alabi have amassed so much wealth from all these positions, now you think you can run for president. Go ahead, the footsoldiers will chop the money for you
This man Alabi was part of the l000t so how can he condemn it. 3bobo ba ! We shall know them by their fruits! Ghanaian media are very irritating indeed if not how on earth would they allow these nation haters and nation wreckers the chance to spew nons*nse on their program ,when a true son and honest person, man of integrity like Papa Kwesi Nduom with much much more experience in life than these thi*ves in ndc is left out in national discussion by these greedy and selfish dishonest media. Anyone with honesty and integrity coupled with discipline will never give bribe before he/she gets a chance to express his/her views, very irritating Ghana media, very dishonest not believing in the truth and honesty but lies and wuluwala kalabule type of life. How can a country prosper and progress with dishonest, corrupt and greedy media, who hate the truth and sweep it under carpet and polish lies to look the truth. How would Ghana media give these people who even the outside world know they've destroyed the country a platform to spew lies to pollute the air, majority of the Ghanaian people are angry with these people for the evil done this country, but you will see some media houses inviting them to throw dust into people's eyes and when the security forces beat them they cry for spathy from the same people they are working against, they don't even realize their beatings by the security forces meant they media are part of the problem of this country.
A PROFESSOR INDEED!
You don't see anything wrong? Wicked men in NDC looking for opportunity MILK Ghana. Will you acquire a $100m software to manage 4m pensioners? WICKED people. Wait!
