Sam Udoetuk Wills, the suspect in the kidnapping of three girls in the Western Region, has told a Takoradi District Court that an officer of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) assisted him to escape from police custody.
According to him, the CID officer together with his two friends whose names he gave as Kwesi and John aided him to break cell on December 30, 2018.
He told the court presided over by Michael Kudjo Ampadu that he would be able to identify the CID officer who aided his escape if he is presented in a parade.
The case has been adjourned to Monday, February 18, 2019.
