Leader of the opposition New Patriotic Party [NPP], Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has been welcomed by a group of women with harmonious local tunes in Talensi in the Upper East Region.
Nana Addo who was due to visit the Chief of Gbani in Talensi spent some time with the women to discuss social issues.
He took to social Media [Facebook] to share a picture of himself and the women with the inscription – “At the forecourt of the Chief of Gbani, in Talensi, enjoying a song composed by a group of women”.
The NPP flagbearer arrived in Talensi in the Upper East Region ahead of the July 7 by-elections - he joins other political kingpins who have taken over the town ahead of what promises to be a fiercely contested parliamentary election.
The Electoral Commission set July 7 for the by-election which has become necessary following the resignation of the former NPP MP, Robert Nachinab Mosore who was enskined as Tongo Chief under the name Tongorana Kubilsong Nalebegtan.
