Revered gospel artiste Nana Yaw Asare has said it is irritating for his colleagues in the industry to describe God as a destiny changer in their songs.
He said the phrase which has been implanted into the songs of many gospel musicians including that of Obaapa Christy, Jack Alolome are “not biblical”.
In an interview with Joy News, the renowned singer argued that God’s creation is perfect and without fault hence he cannot change a destiny.
“One particular word that I don’t want any gospel musician to use is ‘Awurade ye hybr3 sesafo’ (God is a destiny changer)”.
Though Nana Yaw Asare will not comment on whether some gospel artistes sing contrary to the Bible, he said “for me, these are the only words I have come across that is not biblical”
He urged his colleagues to research and stick to words from the bible.

good response from you all, thanks for the word.
When I heard this man speak yesterday, I was so quick to think about Jabez. Again I thought about the whole purpose of Christ's death. The original destiny of man as was created by God was great!! but along the way we fell short of this glory. In as much as I believe that the God given destiny of man can never be changed, man can still fall short of this plan due to sin and or demonic manipulations. Jabez had a great destiny but for some reason he lost it because his mother pronounced pain on him. He realized it and pray to God and God restored to him the joy of his salvation. Destiny can be tampered with not from the originator (God) but by other forces.
For some years now I have been starting or concluding my messages with a clear caution against unproductive prayer in line with ones destiny. Truly, God created every human being with a divine purpose to accomplish (Destiny). You can call it ones "Earthly Assignment" which many factors like environment, social, cultural, religion and evil may work to ALTER (change) them through relentless battle. I therefore shudder to agree with those who want to bring God into an act of injustice which HE (God) cannot do. Indeed if man decide to live according to his own will then he wouldn't be able to fulfill his earthly assignment as enshrine in the Bible (Ps 139:13-16)needless to say more if you can read and digest this scripture comprehensibly. I know for a fact that God can RESTORE a shattered destiny, He is able to bring you back to His (God) original plan for you if and only if a deprave man will want to repent and live for HIM (Ps 23:3) Musicians must pray for God's message before composing songs that are not biblically instructive. Well I am not a pastor but if you like call me a Christian who love the WORD of GOD.
Word for Word, of Course one will not be able to find in the Bible but from loads of verses in the Bible one can surmise that, that is what is being implicated. Few verses to help us through that: They that wait upon the LORD shall renwew their strength. They that call upon the LORD shall not be put to shame. HE lifts the humble. and many more. Just to conclude, is there anything too hard for our GOD? No. Stay blessed, Shalom
