Ghana Football Association vice president George Afriyie says he is not surprised by calls that his outfit should re-appoint former Black Stars coach Kwasi Appiah.
The campaign to bring back Kwasi Appiah have been massive- from ex players to current players all clamouring for his return.
The six member committee will begin the interview process this week and Afriyie who is on the committee says the groundswell support for Appiah to come back is normal.
"I am not surprised at all, he played for Ghana, captained the Black Stars and coached the team as well," he told Asempa FM
"He is the most popular among the coaches who may have applied- he is known y Ghanaians so i am not surprised."

ALL YOU RECACITRANT GFA MEMBERS MUST LISTEN TO GHANAIANS AND GRANT US OUR WISH. WE ARE TIRED OF THESE INFERIOR NON-PERFORMING EUROPEN COACHES WHO ARE HIRED TO WASTE OUR SCARCE RESOURCES AND TIME. WE ARE NOT CALLING FOR JUST THE RETURN OF COACH APPIAH. COACH APPIAH MUST BE WELL COMPENSATED LIKE THESE PAST INFERIOR WHITE COACHES AND EVEN BETTER. DISRESPECTFUL AVRAM GRANT'S TRAVELLING AND HOUSING ALLOWANCE WAS MORE THAN WHAT AKWASI APPIAH EARNED DURING HIS COLOURFUL TENURE AS BLACK STARS COACH. RESPECT OUR OWN!!!!!!!!
