Member of Parliament (MP) for Juaboso constituency in the Western Region, Kwabena Mintah Akando has said the ruling New Patriotic Party [NPP] has failed with their chance in government.
According to him their numerous promises to Ghanaians before the 2016 General elections have not been realized especially with respect to economic development issues.
“ . . You must make your opposition talks reflect the Ghanaian economy positively as you promised and lectured now that the baton is in your hand,” he categorically told Vice President Bawumia.
Speaking on UTV’s ‘Adekye Nsroma’ political discussion segment, Kwabena Mintah Akando stated that members of the NPP will know which political party speaks and work based on truth if they will listen to themselves.
Discussing the Economic Management Team’s Town Hall meeting and matters arising, he cautioned the Vice-president to know the difference between being in opposition and in government.
“ . . We want to see the economic intelligence in our pockets and its effect on our economy, but not in promises or on paper when we are suffering,” he said.
Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, addressed the public in a maiden townhall meeting.
The maiden Town Hall Meeting is on the theme, ‘Our Progress, Our Status, Our Future,’ and forms part of a new initiative announced early on by the Information Ministry.

THE TRUTH, THEY SAY ALWAYS HURT MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE. MR. MINTA AKANDO, TELL THEM THE TRUTH. WE HAVE BEEN THERE (IN THE SEAT OF GOVERNANCE)BEFORE AND CAN BEST TELL THEM IF THE PATH THEY ARE CREATING IS STAIGHT OR CROOKED. AND WE HAVE SEEN THAT THE PATH BEING CREATED BY THE NPP GOVERNMENT IS CROOKED AND LEADS NOWHERE OR HAS NO DESTINATION. THEY ARE SWEATING PROFUSELY IN THE SEAT OF GOVERNMENT
