The Education Ministry says all SHS 1 students across the country will be using the same prospectus.
According to the ministry’s spokesperson, school heads have no right to issue any other prospectus which has not been authorized by the ministry.
Kwesi Kwateng in an interview with NEAT FM’s morning show, Ghana Montie urged parents to spurn prospectus from the schools.
“No parent should accept any prospectus; we are using a harmonized one,” he told host Mac Jerry Osei Agyemang.
First-year senior high school students across the country are expected to report to their respective schools on Monday, 4th December, despite calls for reconsideration of the reopening date.
Parents and other relevant stakeholders have called for an extension of the reporting date, citing various reasons, but the Ghana Education Service (GES) insisted on the December 4 date.

This will prevent those ***barred word*** who spend government’s monies meant for school materials while letting parents buy those materials. If we can’t live in a regularized system then we shouldn’t cry for development.
One School asked a parent of a girl to buy 12 underwear (pants) and 4 bras, and host of unnecessary things. Are these poor girls from our villages going to be fashion models? Kay you don't know what these corrupt schools are doing. Teacher's Unions should tell their members before get reported and sacked. Why are we so corrupt? Stop it, kay and tell the truth.
It is clear @Sir-Luke did not take prospectus to school during his student days.
@ Kay. If u think something is left out of the prospectus buy it for u child. Since u are the headteacher and u know what dey want. Cheap talk
I don’t know what this GES or Ministry of education wants to achieve. Your national prospectus is inadequate why at all are we suffering in the hands of these empty block headed politicians. There are so many things left out on the prospectus how do you want the children to live in school.
