EURACARE, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Eurapharma, the healthcare arm of the CFAO Group has officially opened its first diagnostics and heart centre in the country.
The health facility located on the Peter Ala Adjetey Avenue, North Labone, Accra can boast of an extensive range of cutting –edge Siemens radiology modalities as well as a clinical laboratory with a turnaround time for diagnosis and delivery being three hours and under one hour for emergencies.
The clinic has specialty in non-invasive and interventional cardiology, interventional radiology, urology, erectile dysfunction, respiratory medicine, gastroenterology, gynecology and antenatal care and dental services.
It also has full time internationally trained medical consultants who are ready to offer world class service to patients.
Lady Julia Osei Tutu, wife of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, officially opening the healthcare facility, said having local high class facilities such as EURACARE clinic was timely as many Ghanaians face obstacles when traveling outside to seek medical attention.
She said the country was developing and thus needed such health facilities to care for the health needs of the growing middle class so they can fully contribute to the growth of the nation.
Lady Julia Osei Tutu, however, called on the management of the clinic to consider supporting people who genuinely cannot afford a world class service. She suggested that a quota of revenue generated can be set aside as part of EUROCARE’s corporate social responsibility to support these people.
Lady Julia Osei Tutu also advocated the quick expansion of the facility across the country particularly to Kumasi so those in the northern belt can benefit from the services they offer.
She also called for special services for children. “You should consider setting up a similar facility for paediatric care,” she proposed.
Dr. Glenn de Villiers, Managing Director of EURACARE said although CFAO is noted for its dealership in cars, it also has a strong arm in the medical field.
He said one of such initiatives was the establishment of EURACARE in the country to provide world class service to Ghanaians who would otherwise travel outside the country for similar medical attention.
He said 968 new patients had visited the facility since its opening to the public last year.
Dr. Villiers disclosed that a similar health facility has been opened in Lagos adding that the facility had the best doctors in the field to treat patients, right here in Ghana.
Aymeric Erouart, Eurapharma Director of Medical Services, indicated that with the new facility in Ghana and the other in Lagos, EURACARE’s reach in West Africa was beginning to take shape.
He expressed gratitude to all whose service and dedication has helped to establish the facility.
