The Tema District Council of Labour, TDCL has reminded government of the need to give the management of the Tema Shipyard to the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority.
The Chairman of the TDCL, Wilson Agana, told Radio Ghana that the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority, has demonstrated its capabilities of managing the Shipyard.
The Council he noted has therefore given government up to the end of this month to ensure that workers of Tullow Ghana leave the Shipyard.
Mr Agana said workers are not prepared to accept any increase of utility tariffs.
